There’s so much talk around today about enlightened masters and gurus. It’s common knowledge that should you accept one as your individual guide, they will make sure you allow you to with your personal development. It almost makes you feel compelled to really have a teacher!
My theory is that individuals don’t all need teachers, but we all have to be students. It’s humbling. And being humble is the opening to a further discovery.
In my experience not merely human beings are great teachers. Pets and animals are great teachers too. So might be mountains, oceans, deserts and flowers. All life is pulsing with teaching. We simply need to be open and receive the guidance.
Horses are healing creatures and teach us to possess faith and trust, develop our leading abilities and stay committed to the vision. This happens, in my opinion, even on tough days when nothing generally seems to work living miracles store. They are able to teach us, such noble beings as they are, that individuals can love unconditionally, share freely, communicate openly and create cooperatively. To have the ultimate relationship with a horse there should be no hidden agendas, no limitations on love and no withholding of anything.
Now that may be tough, but we’ve a choice in these matters. All decisions and choices we make may make a critical impact and can cause an exceptional influence on our lives. Like, if we opt to be frightened, we WILL be scared. Let’s face it, ultimately there is nothing really to forget of, unless we DECIDE that there is. But we are able to ensure it is up and we are able to pretend. You see, all beings reflect what and who we’re in relationships – horses are no exception. Understand that the world was designed for us so that individuals may have a context within which to have ourselves as who we really are.
It’s fundamental to realise that individuals are truly linked to everything and everyone. What is wonderful for you may not be advantageous to your horse. What’s harmful to you may not be also harmful to your horse. It’s not as possible only change your horse’s behaviour; your horse can influence you to change your personal behaviour. My horse has been one of my greatest teachers. When I work and play with him, my every thought, word and deed is reflected. It’s not just a revolution on how exactly we assist horses that’s needed, it’s a revolution of the mind that individuals ought to be having. It’s our thinking that we must change.
